I have been a stay at home mom for the last 13 years. A blissful life full of babies who are now 12 almost 13 and 8 almost 9. Two beautiful girls who mean the world to me, who are my world. I’m also lucky enough to be with my best friend, my husband, every step of the way.

It’s a fulfilling job and a job that is just that, a job. The emotional toll that is placed upon you when you have kids is at best, slowly killing you, and at worst keeping you alive. Some day’s, okay most days, it’s the other way around. It’s always “expect the unexpected” when you have a busy family.

Now that my girls are older and I have so much free time I’ve decided it’s time to go back to school. I have begun the journey at 36 to get my degree in Interior design. I call this blog Interior Design: Literally because I am literally  re-designing myself from the inside out. Renewal at my age I can see is going to be painstakingly slow. I just found out my degree has the highest amount of credit hours needed in all of my community college (don’t laugh it’s college). The next lowest is 64 so I will have 5 more classes than anybody else in any other degree. It is exciting and I’m looking forward to less free time, sure I could fill it up with cleaning but nah, no thanks.  So these are the life and times of a SAHM (stay at home mom) going back to school. Wish me luck!
